buzzy tank

Default buzzy tank

anyone know a good solution to a buzzing tank...it's not all that bad but just enough to bug me...the only thing wrong with my ride

Do you have all the OEM rubber pads installed??
There should be a rubber pad for each mounting bolt and two others on the sides of the tank, between the tank and the frame rails. See the diagram below. #7, 10 and 14 are the rubber pieces.

If you cant get the rubber anywhere, you can use any piece of rubber or just cut and old heater hose and wrap it around the grooves on the outside of the tank

already cheated...the dealer wanted $8 a piece for them. so i made my own. worked like a charm. thanks guys

I saw somewhere that someone had also used those self-adhesive black rubberblocks that Walmart, Home Depot, etc. sell for furniture. They are dirt cheap.

I actually just used some thick double sided tape on my F2 when I found the pads missing.
