Default just died after being ridden>>??

Sup fellas. My 94 CBR900RR. I was out riding for about 2hrs. then stopped for a quick strech. when i went to restart it didn't start up. i ended up sitting there for about 30minutes until it would turn over. Any one have any ideas. I'm out in Vegas, and i'm hoping it was just the heat. It was running good other than that> ????

Thanks,

i had something similar happen to me, it turned out to be a loose battery terminal.

i'd go over all your connections and fuses, all that electrical stuff.

Your right check the terminals, you might have to take them off and clean them and or replace the battery

+1 on the positive terminal. my old battery did that all the time. it's really scary when your going thru first and second with some nuts and it skips because of that.yikes.

Well, I'll tell you guys from experience; the '93-'95CBR 900RR's arevery infamous forcommon failureof the"Stator" aka ACG(Alternating Current Generator), and the Regulator Rectifier. Thebest way to diagnose this is to test the charging system: Using a volt meter, place each leadon it'sindicated pole, start the engine and accelerate to 3,500-4,000 RPM. At idle, the voltage should read 12.75-12.89 VDC, with the engine accelerated, it should read at 13.60-14.10 VDC. Ifthere is no voltage output, that means your Stator or Reg. Rectifier is bad. It's up to you what to replace first. By opinions and testimonies, usually the stator goes out first. Other than that, these bikes are awesome. I've had'93 CBR 900 RR a lil over a year now, and is hasn't let me down.
