Got CBR600, ridden more this year than last ten!
Hi, thought I'd introduce myself. I found this forum when searching for carburetor disassembly instructions and found a great thread about it.
I got a CBR600 F3 just a few months ago and have been riding it as much as possible, over 3000 miles already. I've wanted a sportbike since I was a teenager and was able able to get one. I'd say the biggest cause for so much riding is that I wear a rainproof outfit every time, and just go instead of agonizing over taking the car or bike when there is a small chance of rain.
I love the quick steering and high-revving engine on this bike. It can really make brave hearts beat faster when it screams like an F1 car! haha In hindsight though I'm glad I learned on slower bikes first!
My motorcycle experience: Learned to ride at 17 on my father's '73 CL350 (he still rides it, had it since the 70's), had a Suzuki GS850 that was more powerful but not very exciting. Hadn't ridden for a few years, and finally this year have the chance to do it again harder than ever.

Welcome to the CBRForum Ohiojc! Glad the forum helped w/ your carb rebuild.
You sound like a year-round rider...that's excellent! I need a new rain-suit myself.
Like you say, learning to ride on slower/smaller bikes is a good idea. It allows your skills to grow w/o getting in over your head w/ power. Too bad many other riders don't start that way...but instead, end up on the pavement (or worse). I digress...
Glad you're here w/ us!

Thanks.
scorpionvmu I'm in Columbus, on the east side. I'll check out the local pages.
Darn it's predicted to snow here tomorrow. I haven't gotten to ride for a almost a week, looks like soon I might really have to admit the riding season is over! I'm also trying to figure out a cold-starting difficulty that makes it worse. I made a thread about that in the 600F3 section, "strange carburetor choke problem."
