Default New riding and happy to be part of the culture

Hello,

My name is David and I'm located in SoCal in Riverside County. Today I make my first sport bike purchase, a 1996 Honda CBR600 F3. I'm really excited to learn how to ride and enjoy my new machine. I got the bike from the original owner and it has 43k on the clock. For being the vintage it is the bike looks great. I hope to get ideas and advice on this bike as I plan on doing some modest upgrades. I don't know how to upload a pic of the bike on here, I'd appreciate some help with that as I'd like to share my bike. Thanks.

David

First off, welcome to the board. You should like the F3, it's a nice 600 to start on. Easiest way to upload a pic for me is to go to a picture upload site like Tinypic.com or photobucket. You can browse your computer files under your pictures and select the picture you want. After just hit upload and it was create an image code to copy and paste on a message board. I'm not really that good at explaining that kind of stuff but if you can't figure it out, hopefully someone else chimes in soon! Good luck with the bike and happy riding!

Welcome to the forum David!

See this help thread for pics... https://cbrforum.com/forum/forum-hel...-posts-104022/

F3's are great old bikes. You'll love it. Have you taken the MSF Course Motorcycle Safety Foundation ?

Being in socal, you'll enjoy riding year-round. Just don't head to Palomar Mountain too quickly. ;-)

Thank you all for the help on the pic situation and for all the warm welcomes. 74demon, I

live out in Murrieta and will be looking for buds to ride around with when I get more time in

the saddle and after my MSF course of course. gotcbr, you're right about the terrific year round riding weather, I plan on riding

everyday except for when it's raining buckets.

Here is a quick pic I snapped earlier today with my cell phone, I will upload more higher res pics tomorrow:
