well i guess i need to sit and figure it out...this is still my first year riding, and after i finished the MSF course in March, i researched the net for the best beginner bike....i ended up getting the gsf500.

that was a waste bc i sold that thing after 2 weeks and bought the f4i. so i know not to always believe all the opinions on the internet. now, i was just keeping an eye out for a younger bike with less miles i could keep for a while.

at least this isnt like trading in cars...i pretty much get back what i paid i'm starting to learn...sometimes a little more lol

f4i to 03-04 RR is not an upgrade, lateral move perhaps. The F4i uses 87 octane and is faster in the 1/4mile, both big pluses. They weigh almost the same. Both have standerd front forks. RR uses slightly larger rotors up front but I don't feel they do anything better then the F4i's. You can adjust the rear ride height on an F4i with washers, not happening with the RR's. RR's are a bit better looking and have more ground clearence stock.

I like my rr personally think it would be an upgrade but it only matters in your eyes and how you like to ride

03-06 not an upgrade.
07+ is an upgrade, the midrange power is so much better with 07 and up. do some homework, the RR became the badass as we know it in 07 and up, midrange power less weight, all around better bike.
ive had 2 F4I's and an 07 RR, the new RR's rock, the older ones not so much.
but get what is best for u, and u cant beat the wheelie from the F4I!

F4i to RR is an upgrade in my opinion. i like the 03 RR with the ndertail exhaust instead of that huge can the F4i has
