Default Rear brake issues: Need advice

Hey guys, I have an 03 600 RR. My buddy and I were riding around and he pulled me over to tell me that my rear brake is constantly on. Turns out that the rear brake lever kinda gets stuck in the down position and wont pop up enough to turn the brake light off after using it. (if that makes sense)

Is something not lubed enough? something too tight? what would be causing this??

Thanks!

(easy fix)
Check the adjustment for the rear brake's light sensor.

or you can check the return spring for the pedal

as long as the sensor is not bad, it should be basic maintenance

Yeah I know that mine has a spring there that seems to help it come back to its normal position, check for that. Im not sure about the 03 but thats how mine is.

sweet sounds good. I love easy fixes!!! I'll take a look at it next time I'm around it (since the bike is at my buddies house).

Anyone know if the 03's have the spring that Slyncka is talking about??

Thanks guys!
