Angry Help with hids!! i think i burned my wiring!!

So i got a set of ddm tuning hids 55w 4300k. Freaking bright as hell.

Had them installed for like 3 days or so and they functioned perfect.

I noticed that my high beam indicator light wasn't on and both my lights

were out. Checked the fuses all good. No power at the sockets where i

plugged in the - and + for the ballasts. I'm afraid that my wires are all burned

up. I bought the relay harness online just a few hours ago, but i cant hook it

up until i have power at the stock harness. Please help!!

I think this diagram is for a 2005-06...

If you think your wires are burnt up unhook the battery, then check the resistance between two points on the wire you think is burnt up, it should be 0 if it's good. I would doubt you burnt up your wires and I would consider swapping out the headlight fuses under the fairing even if they appear to be good.

Oh... and also check the headlight relay.

yea, best thing is to test all your wiring, starting from the power out, then for the ballast, ( if you have separate ignitors). then before ignitors. Plug in HIDs and turn bike on..meh, its always somthing simple. Burning out wires is very unlikely, fuse would go long before that. Thats the point of fuses, to protect devices and wires enroute..

If there is an open circuit, you will have infinite ohms..you'r meter should read 'OL'. If the wires are ok, you should have like 0.8 ohms or something, any more than 10 ohms resistance, redo your connections..
