Thumbs up Chain and Sprocket + Power Commander

I am thinking about getting a new chain and sprocket kit installed on my bike. I would go with the 520 chain, drop a tooth in the front, and up two teeth in the rear. What do yall think? Anyone done this? How do you like it?

Also, I am thinking about putting a power commander on the bike. What are the pros and cons? Do you like the power commander. Is there is noticeable difference?

Thanks for the help.

a buddy of mine dropped 2 teeth in the front and raised one in the back. WOW! Talk about waking a bike up! You'll lose some top speed but the acceleration is wicked!

i run -2 front + 3 rear when you get on it and shift into second bike lifts straight up Youll increase torque but like dude above said top speed sucks plus beware when you mess around with sprockets i found out recently the speedometer will say your doing 75 when your only really doing 60 ... you need to either get speedohealer or just learn the speed diff.

Thanks for the help. I am looking into buying a power commander tonight. Part number 117-411. It's pretty cheap but is used. I would only drop one tooth in the front and go up two in the rear. Should give me a bit more torque for sure but nothing too too advanced. I want the power commander to give it a try with the chain and sprocket. I also have a K&N filter along with a full Jardine exhaust.

Power commander is really good, I love mine but get it tuned when you get it because the maps they post on their site run a little rich for safety reasons. I still need to get mine tuned and it runs much better/colder/faster then without it. And i'm looking to do the same chain conversion. 520 -1 +2 with a black sprocket and chain. If anyone knows a good site with the whole kit, that would be awesome!
