Default Power Commander or the 520 sprocket?

I have a question for you guys which would you do first with an 05 cbr100rr. I have a 2 bros exhaust and a 2bro juice box just wanting to do something else and im not sure if going with the 520 1- front +2 in rear is worth it as the 1000rr has all the power?

The PC prolly wont give you much that you will actually feel, prolly smooth things up and maybe better response. The -1/+2 520 tho... you will notice the bike wants to lift the front wheel more, accelerate quicker, and reduce your top end (no biggie there really).

OK.....

the converstion will give the the most noticable change....HOWEVER.....-1/+2 is going to SEVERLY alter how you bike rides to the point of no fun....stock is 2.625 to 1.....I went +4 in the back bumping it to 2.875 to 1...and the 520.....it lifts if you breathe wrong...BUT there is nothing that can out accel me..I mean nothing. i am however eating 520 sprockets its very hard on them ...if you go -1/+2 you are at 3 to1 thats nearing stunt bikes....with a liter engine at that ratio if you nail it you could feasibly rip teeth....and it would easily flip the bike.

I partly agree with pam. -1/+2 is nowhere near stunt gearing tho. thats more like a 52t+ rear. But with a 1k you shouldnt need more than a -1 front or maybe a +2 rear, but not both. And a 520 on a 1k isnt recommended either, shes right on that, I missed that b4 my bad. AND IIRC -1 in the front is equal to +3 on the rear. And as Pam stated it will want to wheelie like madd (like it dont aready) and if your not use to the power of a 1k could very easily flip you as Pam stated too.

Do both, unless you need a new chain. If you dont, order up a -1 front sprocket (its all you need for gearing) and will only set ya back $25. That will leave you the cash to get the pc3 as well.

key word was "nearing".... 3 to1 is closer to stunting than stock.......

I think it depends on condition. I know if your stuff is fairly worn the change will prematurly wear the new parts. But for example on my bike, when i got it with 3500 miles everything was well cared for. I dropped a tooth in front and still got another 10k out of it. So i guess i dont completely agree with you Play, but i do know what you mean.
