Default Buying a rebuilt title

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. Been on SV Forum for a long while and got tons of help from that site. So i figured i'd come over here get some advice since i'm in the market for an cbr

I currently ride an 07 SV650S and have been for about a year now and now that i've got some cash flow i'm wanting to upgrade to the bike i've wanted for a very long time, a cbr600rr.

I've been searching around alot on CL and found this one 2006 CBR 600RR
Its a rebuilt title. Do you guys think that this would be a good bike? I'm weary about buying a rebuilt title but don't know much about it, from what i've heard a rebuilt could be something as minor as just fairing damage. My main concern is frame/engine damage.

Basically would you buy this bike. In my area its about 1000-2000 dollars less than the exact same bike with a clean title.

My budget is about 5000 so i figure if i can save 1000 i can spend it on new gear

Thanks for the help in advance

True a rebuilt title could mean that the bike was laid down and the fairings were rashed and the insurance company decided to total it instead of fix it because OEM fairings cost so much. The only way to know if there is frame damage is to go check it out, test ride it and see if it rides straight and true. Also keep in mind that a rebuilt title means it's cheaper for you but has less resale value. If you plan on keeping this bike for a while and everything checks out then sure get it. If you don't know if you're going to keep it for a while you might want to look for one without a rebuilt title. You said your budget is $5K. You might be able to find a 07 for that amount. I got mine for $5200. I haven't rode a 05-06 RR but the 07 are amazing. GL with your search.

I think both of my bikes had rebuilt titles.

As with any vehicle, get it inspected by a reputable mechanic before buying it. If the seller won't agree (especially if you're willing to pay for the inspection) then don't buy the bike. Otherwise, if a mechanic signs off, you should be golden.
