Default Bike slips back to neutral after high rpm shift 1-2 gear

I have a 2015 cbr600 I’ve put about 2,000 miles on since owner ship currently around 12k. The bike hasn’t been dropped on side of shift lever. I did the chain and sprockets and an oil change since taking owner ship. Sometimes when I’m getting on it I do a high rpm shift from 1st to 2nd and it’s almost like it doesn’t grab second and falls back into neutral. I’m not sure if the forks are worn or I’m not putting enough power into the shift lever when up shifting. It doesn’t happen all the time but it’s definitely gotten worse over time. This only happens from 1st to 2nd on upshift. Today when it happened it caused my check engine light to come on. I pulled over turned the bike off and the light cleared. Any ideas? Thank you.
