I feel your pain... I'm in the same boat when the 1k swing arm gets finished by this coming up friday ( I hope ) I will get the bearing installed then the bike can move under its own weight again.... Have the sprockets and chain... just toying around with that carb and should be good to go for riding.... besides cleaning up the damage fairings.

Alright so I got my bike up took it for a ride. Felt nice, made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, felt right. Almost crashed, scared the poop out of me, Going around a corner and I could feel (well I think this is what it is) the rear tire sliding out behind me. What would cause that? incorrectly set-up suspension? I wasn't breaking in the turns and Im not going all ghost rider in our local twisties. Something I did find out that scared me was the date of manufacture of my tires wait for it, wait for it, 4507. Now that's right around oct - nov of 2007 right. So add that to the list. Oh and I managed to snap my key off in the ignition . . . yay!!!

Yep. Sounds a bit stiff.

Well, that stinks. Hope you can rectify that w/o too much trouble.

I haven't been able to fish out the key with dental pics or tweezers. I'm guessing that means a new ignition?I was able to get my rear seat off but not my gas cap. I'm trying to convince my plt sgt to let me csign another set out of supply. Any ideas? I kinda just want to beat the **** out of the ignition with a hammer. If I do have to get another ignition, can I use any from another bike? Or does it have to stay in the F4 family.

First thing I'd do is take the bike down to a licensed locksmith. He'll should be able to fix you up.

ETA: My local locksmith is the best. He can do just about anything w/ locks/keys. He works on just about any type lock out there. Hope you've got a guy like that near you.
