Default Lifting the front end

Heya guys,

I feel like a bit of an idiot now, I had to take both my wheels off and drop them down to the garage and get my new tires fitted. So I had the rear on a paddock stand and the front on blocks whilst this was happening. I have to replace the fork seals, but I cannot lift the front high enough to get the forks out, I have no front stand. I was thinking a ratchet stap under the yoke with a frame I can build would that work?

Ta

Tris

See this thread for some helpful recommendations... https://cbrforum.com/forum/f4i-main-...-bikes-133565/

I use a front stand that lifts by the lower triple (back is also lifted).

You can also use a standard auto floor jack to lift the front by the headers (place a block of wood btwn jack & header).

Engine hoists work well also.

Thanks man, I really wanted to avoid using a jack if I could help it, but without those pitbull stands which I can't afford at the moment. It looks like that's the only way I can do it.

I screwed a big U hook into one of the rafters in the garage and used a ratchet strap. Works great.
