Default Won't start, only small "pop/backfire"

Hi,

So the engine won't start, the 2-3 last time it started I needed to give it full throttle to start it, like the choke was doing nothing.
Then this time, the engine won't start at all.

I find the spark on the plug a little on the weak side, juste a small purple lightning.
I removed the carburator and check the bowl, they are all spotless, I also checked the idle jet and it looked really good and cleaned them.

The engine only does some small "pop" time to time and nothing else.

- Brand new spark plug CR9EH-9
- Battery is full
- I changed the R/R not long ago because the voltage was going over 15V, maybe re-test the old one even tho it working on the new one ?
- It smell gas but when I remove the plug they are not full of fuel/wet, just smell the fuel.
- Even if I put a very small amount of fuel in each nothing change at all
- There is fuel in the bowl
- I also checked the sub filter & main filter
- Note that the engine is used off-road only

I want to know what to check next, the valve clearance or timing maybe ?

Thanks !

It should start with full choke but no throttle. You may want start there.
when you removed the idle screws they should have been between 2.25 and 2.5 turns out

Oups I edited my post, I mean I cleaned the "Idle jet".

I am thinking that the Stator does not provite enough power, I will check it tomorrow with a multimeter

What do you mean by Idle screws? The on on each carb? Where is it ?

Thanks !

The fuel/air mixture screw. It's near the fuel bowl.

I follow this for testing the stator :

The strange thing is that I have 3 yellow wire coming from it, but they have continuity between all of them, so I guess my stator is bad then ?

It sounds like it could definitely be questionable.
