"Have you tried hooking the pump up directly to the battery? Leave the pump connected to the tank and have the output dump into a something like a measuring glass or graduated cylinder. When you connect the pump to the battery, let it run for 5 seconds. Multiply the amount in the container by 12 and it should be in the area of 23.7 oz per min. If you're below that... then you've got a bad pump."

-- I have tried that. I have one drop of gas that comes out when I turn on the ignition, and 2 drops that come out when I turn off the key. Nothing is pumping through the pump. I bypassed the relay and checked the voltage at the pump, and it is 12v, so I know that the pump is gone.

Bamer02 - i have a fuel pump...an extra one... --- Any way to ship it to me, and I will test it to see if it is indeed the pump? I will pay to have it shipped back and also whatever it costs you to ship. Thanks guys! I'm hoping a buddy from work can get me a pump and relay to try out and see if that cures everything.

So, I replaced the pump and the relay just a bit ago. I jumped the relay to put 12v directly to the pump to pump up to the carbs. Plugged the relay back in, and she fired up immediately!! The pump makes a small ticking noise now, but it might go away as I ride it. Just think it has to get lubed up. We'll see how long it lasts, hopefully forever now!! Thanks for all the help.

Great to hear that you isolated the problem.

Default Relay

If the pump only works when you by-pass the relay, you have a bad relay.
