Default Will not start!!! getting upset!

I have ran the bike fine all year so far, and let it sit for the past 3 weeks, and when I went to start it, it idled low even with the choke on and gradually rms dropped till it died. Now it will not start. New fuel filter, plugs and cleaned the k&n a year ago. I tried new plugs thinking they were fouled out, but it still wont run. Filter is still clear, so I took the tank off. If I drop gas into the carbs, it will fire and run for a minute, but when I put it all back together, it is not getting fuel. Petcock is fine and gas comes out no problem. Fuel pump kicks on when I hooked it to the battery. I tried disconnecting a hose on the side of the pump, and tried to start it. No gas movement!! Does anyone have any suggestions or fixes for this??? Thanks!

clean the jets in your carb. basically if you pour gas straight into the carbs, and it runs, everything else is good.

the carbs arent pushing the gas into the cyclinders because the jets are gummed up or varnished.

that's my experience from my 1st cbr and my couple of dirtbikes that stood in the shed for months.

clean them up and you should be good...

also, check if you have enough gas and the setting on the petcock is set on gas/on....then try the reserve one...they should flow freely.

mine flowed even if the bike was off. flowed out of the pump but slowly...

Dumb question, but is there an easy way to clean the jets? The carbs are buried under the airbox, and that looks like a lot to disassemble. Thanks for the quick reply!!

taking the carbs off is about the easiest way. im not even sure its possible to clean the jets while the carbs are still on.

i thought it was hard but it turned out easy.

if you're going to do this, let me know. there are some tricks into getting the fasteners loose.

bro, you can use sea foam without a fuel tank.

use sea foam and you wont have to rip out your carbs

Sea Foam rocks [addict ;P].

But you'd need to induce it into the intake with bike warmed and running and with some in fuel system via gas tank.
