Not true, my R/R fried, and my battery is at 13.35V

then you were lucky...every other horror story I have heard including my own have put the battery dying on a ride. Even so the rectifier is just the voltage regulator for the stator just like the alternator in a car. So if the bike won't even turn on the rectifier is highly unlikely to be related if you have a charge on the battery

Yeah, I know how it usually goes. I've got a problem somewhere else that's making mine do the same thing as Greg's as well, I'm assuming when my R/R went it fried something because of an overcharge

went through a similar ordeal. my rectifier fried itself, and the wires to it. bike was still running though.

I assume your battery reads 13+ with the bike off. what does it read with your key in the on position? if it is below 12 your battery is dead.

can you jump or bump start your bike? if so what is the voltage at the terminals, if it is above 16 you need a new rectifier. (note if your rectifier is bad you can damage another battery in under a minute when using it to jump your bike)

just picked up one of these new off ebay for 110. Charging System Diagnostics - Rectifier/Regulator Upgrade - Triumph Forum: Triumph Rat Motorcycle Forums

I would Light test the fuses first then work my way back to were there is no power when there should be with key on.

have your battery load tested, I had the same thing happen. When it was tested it put out 13.2 volts but as soon as it had the load tester on, it went to 0. Just my

Even wth a dead cell batt you should get your lights on, but it won't crank enough to start it. Put a charger on it and try it. Just light test through the circuit diagram and you shoul d find the problem. Just keep charger on while testing so you'll know you gave constant power.
