I just changed my undertail on my 929 with a bestem undertail so I had to re do my wirings then when I got done the turn signal wasn't right because now they are blinking faster. What could have I done wrong or is this normal??
are they both blinking faster or just one side? if it's just one side, i'd say you've got a wire pair backwards. if it's both sides, are the new lights LEDs? i think LEDs have a tendancy to cause this issue. not really a big deal either way.
Yeah, if the lights are LED's, then they will blink faster unless they have a resistor in the kit. This is due to the LED's having a lower resistance than the factory bulbs. I just left mine blinking faster. It won't hurt anything.
If you don't like the fast blinking use resistors. The lights blink faster because LED's use less power than standard bulbs. Therefore the bike thinks the lights are out because less power is being drawn to them. Resistors and tutorials for how to install them can be found online.
