Default Tune-up

Well i'm planning on doing a full tune-up on my bike. I figure it's only got 20,000 miles on it, but I don't know what the previous owners have done to take care of it...Might as well start it off with a clean slate.

I was wondering were would be a good place to buy shims? I know that I have a few valves of by the sound notes the exhaust is making.

I'm planning on dropping the motor to do that valves, along with cleaning the carbs, syncing the carbs, and replaicng the spark plugs.

Are there anything else that you guys think that I should clean or inspect while the motor is out.

Any help will be appreciated. thanks.

cct? probably worth taking a look at while you are there. I wouldn't have thought your valves would be out but worth checking anyway - let us know if you find any that are out.

Good luckfinding shims sold seperately. Ittook almost 2 weeks for me to track down a place that will sell them serperately.Everyone wants to sell you a $300 kit - which isn't bad if you've got the jack but damn...
