[align=left]ok, so I have done my share of research and decided to convert my 96 tail light to a 97/98 style. i needed the seat off a newer model so I ordered one on ebay. The guy assured me it was a 97/98 seat and it came in and its pretty much identical to the seat I already have. for anyone that knows, should I be able to tell the differnece visibly between the two seats? what does the the newer seat look like compared to the older one?

To tell them apart the main difference visually is at the front. These are UK bikes but I think they're the same over there. The left-hand pic is a 96, the right is a 97.

Sorry, keep getting path error attaching pic! The later seat sticks forward more under the tank.
