[hr]ok, so weird thing happened tonight, I am driving home and go to shift into first and the lever fell off. it was still attached to the pole that connects to the transmission, but the lever fell off the rearset. How does it re-attach? I have tried using some of the allen wrenches in the toolkit but none of them seem to work or fit. Is there a special tool or something?

That happened to me. There's a bolt that holds it in place, that fell off. I was about 20 miles from home when it happened, and had to make it all the way back in 6th gear. A lot of slipping the clutch, but I made it.

 

you could tie the shifter to your shoelace and do that (hey, it would work) just kick forward to first, kick back to highs

 

Ha, same here! I pushed a rock against the lever so I could shift it into 3rd gear. Rode 3rd gear all the way home. Kinda sucked on the highway in 3rd lol. I ordered a new bolt from Bikebandit.com Oh and I also put Loctite on the new bolt so it'll never fall out again!

 

yup I finally found the right size allen key and all fixed now!
