Rattle and vibration noises!
I stopped ridding my bike last week because of all the noise.
I checked my oil and it was at the full mark, so I thought its time to change the Cam chain tensioner.
I was just about to order one, when I thought... This old bike is new to me, and since I can not see the tensioner with all the plastics on, I decided to pull the fairings to see if perhaps I already had the after-market manual tensioner (After all, that would **** me off if I found out after ordering it).
Well my bike still has the OEM style, and since I had the plastics off, I decided to take a closer look at the noises.
I found my noises are caused by a loose/dry drive chain
and inner fairing trim.
A little lube, adjustment, and hot glue and 90% of my ugly noises are gone.
Now I know why everyone puts after-market pipes on (To cover-up all the rattles
)
So anyway, do you think I should still order the manual Cam Chain Tensioner?
After all, it ain't broke, so should I break it?

I've managed to isolate most of the rattles, the screen is the exit point for most of them & the two covers ether side of the screen will vibrate like crazy if they don't sit right.
As for the chain, year they do get noisy, even when lubed & adjusted.
