Plastic weld
I started a project today on my fairing because one was broke apart and the kid who had the bike before me destroyed them with appoxy on top of paint then paint on the appoxy (yellow and then black) so I decided end to try and fix the fairings.. The one that was broken apart was so far a success just need to sand all the paint off prime then paint again.. Any tips wold be awesome if anyone done this already

I'm sure you mean "epoxy", but moving on. I found with repairing fairings to do it on the inside of the plastic. I had a fairing that had seen a fall, the outside was cracked pretty good, and was missing some abs. I bonded the reverse with a coupe strips of fiberglass/resin. Then on the front I sanded the face down to smooth out the damage. I just poured a little resin on the the larger gaps to help fill them, and used Bondo with fiberglass ( kinda like an enriched formula) and sanded/primed from there.
Just take your time. On the front of the damaged plastic, try to use as little repair product as you can. Even if it means multiple applications. It's a lot easier than spending oodles of time sanding down a measurable amount of resin / bondo <- and lets face it, bondo sets pretty damn fast, so you could get multiple applications done during the day.
