Smile what type of plastic weld for hurricane 600 '90

Hi guys, does anyone know what type of plastic I should use to weld original fairings? I have a hurricane/cbr 600FL 1990 and want to repair a number of cracks using the soldering iron technique.

Are the original fairings made from abs or something different?

Thanks dudes:

They should be made of abs, all the plastics on my bike are.

I would give this method a try, it seems like the most effective way to weld them with a soldering iron:

You're welcome & good luck with the fairing. I've done quite a bit of crack repairs on mine before I painted it, and it's not too hard once you get the hang of stitching it together. The white is just a shade off the original pearl white that came on the 87 - the tank is original. I used a championship white base with a metallic mid coat and clear to get the pearl effect.
