Duplicolor's Paint Shop system runs $21 per quart here and I needed 3 different quarts (primer, base color, clear coat). I've spent about $30 in sandpaper . Already had a 4.6 gallon 2 hp compressor I got for $99 back when I bought the bike. 1.4mm Kawasaki HVLP detail spray gun $36 (I also have a 1.7mm HVLP gun for primer but don't recommend it with a compressor that small).

Dunno about 1 handed push ups but I can definitely block hella better than Daniel-San

PS
Got about another $20 to spend I think. I need to buy some masking frisket and a rattlecan of paint to try a stencil painted design of a dragon down the lowers.

Tank needs to be redone but I knew that soon as it started drying. Just gonna patch the right upper while I shop for a new one. The decals I got off ebay and will get another set soon. And TROPhouse was completely correct. The duplicolor clear coat is extremely weak. Guy asked me when i planned to clear it

Thumbs up Painting

Hey I am doing the same thing and having the same problems. I thought the panels were smooth but the primer brings all the mistakes out!! I keep priming and fixing.

I have paint on a couple of pieces but not close to being finished. I ordered all my stickers yesterday!! I cant wait to get it done and see how it looks. I am painting it a metallic color called Carbon Black.

I will post some pictures tomorrow.

That's very LOLZY. I'm not making fun of you at all either. I dropped my bike within a week of putting it back together too. I'm still prepping the plastics, making sure I do everything right this time.

Where'd you get those logos by the way?

BCB: I'm thinking that what happened to me was the paint lifting because of different types. The paint I used was lacquer based and if it lays on an enamel, it'll lift. Just means I have to invest more in sandpaper and take er all the way down next time

TROPhouse: Got them from ebay a long time back. can't find the seller atm but will check my PP account to find him. They were actually pretty good and easy to apply
