overtightened my thermostat cover can i jb weld it?

Default overtightened my thermostat cover can i jb weld it?
well as the title said i cracked the cover for the thermostat and i am in the middle of putting my motor in so i am wondering if jb weld will hold while i await the arival of a new cover? thanks

I guess it depends on how it's cracked. But it's certainly worth a try. What have you got to loose?
