hey guys,

one of my friends bought a bike that she swears is a smokin joe but others have said its not and said its just a special edition cbr. which on the manufacture plate it ends with a SE...the bike has not been touched paint or decal wise. the only thing on the bike that says smokin joe is the signature on the tank. the color scheme is purple yellow and white. but here is the thing that is getting me every 98 smokin joe ive seen is plastered with smokin joe all over it and the ones ive seen also the seats are black her's is white and yellow..im guessing where its a 98 and it has SE at the end of the number it would have to be a smokin joe because what other special edition cbr is there for f3?

 

maybe a smoking joes with no decals, sounds like different fairings or someone wanted to get rid of those crazy decals. (no offence smoking joe owners.)

well like i said the paint and decals werent even touched... an it couldnt be just the tank as the frame itself shows its a special edition on the manufacture plate.she asked the guy who owned the bike before her and he said he never never didnt anything to it other then a exhaust and he had the bike since new thats what is throwing me off..its the right colors but the seat itself is white an yellow.

 

The Smokin Joe edition was identified by the SE or Special Edition as part of the Model on the VIN plate. The Stickers came in a package to the dealer and it was up to them as to whether or not to install them. The serials were either JH2PC253 or JH2PC254. America or America California.

 

the white/yellow seat is an aftermarket cover. make it look alot sweeter than the black one
