Hello all. I am new here and am about to purchase a Joe but have some questions.. if it is really a Joe. I heard that the VIN number has a certain number that tells if its a knockoff - does anyone know what it is? Also - this is weird but this Joe that i am looking at does not have the 2 diff color rims.. they are both purple or black.. that does not sound right to me.. please help - i am looking at buying this tomorrow. Any other advise on how to tell if its real or not will help as well.. thanks in advance.

When you are looking at the right side of the frame near the steering neck, look at the metal plate; In the lower left portion of the plate you should see the letters "CBR600F3 SE".

Yep, that is what I am talking about...that metal plate (label)! Can`t argue with that! Lol!
