Default My CBR won’t start after fuel pump replacement. I’m not sure what else to do

Hey everyone,

so my bike was running just fine last week up until I got onto it to head back home from a friends house. I got it started and noticed that it was acting very weird, the throttle input was very erratic and the bike refused to rev over 5-6k and eventually it cut out on me. I replaced the fuel pump and now I can’t get it to fire. It sounds like it’s not getting any fuel but I checked the fuel lines and filter, which have gas in them. Can anyone help? Anything I missed?

Welcome to the forum! As I’m no veteran here at cbrforum, I have a lot of experience working with engines.

Have you tried starting it with starting fluid in the carburetor while the engines kicking over? If it does, then you may still have a fuel delivery issue. Also make sure your plugs aren’t wet from a flooded motor as that can cause starting issues.

Check the float bowls to see if there is fuel in them. Open each drain screw a little to see if fuel comes out. Naturally put a rag under it to catch any fuel that does come out.
