Honk Kong Fairings (LOTS OF PICTURES)
#71
Ive just started putting mine fairing that i got from Hong Kong now. i ran into a couple setbacks. first i realized that i didn't receive any screws, nor was it sold with any i just assumed it would be (the only part that concerned me as far as bolts and screws went was the inner fairing and around the headlight) so i went to the local nut and bolt factory making sure to take the parts with me and got **** loads of screws/bolts and nuts for $3 and they fit perfectly thus far.
secondly my fairing was not spose to come with a tank cover so i ordered one seperatly only to find that when i opend the box containgin said fairing that there was a tank cover...???. I read alot of this thread b4 i decided to get the fairing and got prepaired and got some heat resistant sheeting. hard stuff to come by when your not looking for much.
im taking pics as i go too and will upload soon it seems to fit rather well, tight as you guys said but good, no major gaps in front end fairing.

Ok here is how it looked the day i bought it
naked kinda, i threw one of the tail bits on to see how well they fit
i like these engine bolts, its a nice change from black and silver.
This is the front upper fairing complete
these are the only gaps i have so far, same as yours spicy but kinda more lop sided. i tried as hard as i could to pull it a little to the left to even it up but it was a no go. im thinking if it annoys me to much ill put something over it, but i dont think ill loose any sleep over it. i was actually going to leave the original red piece in there it did look pretty good and fitted well but yeah changed my mind for some reason.
The next step is to cut that piece of heat protector up to mach the bits on the original fairing, my only concern here is that the stuff i have may be too thick and the fairing wont fit as best it can and that the heat protector will be resting on the engine.
thats it so far, ill upload more when i get a few more bits done

ive put the rest on except the inner fairing behind the wheel and headlight and i dont have the large gaps on the side like yours, its really snug. but yeah i spose they will warp a bit hopefully its not to bad. i decided to get the tank painted instead of using the tank cover. it is without a doubt the most useless piece of s#@* ever to be created by man. ill take some pics when i have more light

Are you in Europe? I like the original color scheme your bike had, but it looks nothing like the ones sold here in the US. I'd like to see if I can find a place that sells original or replica decals of the stripes you had on yours'
