F3 to F4i Gauge Swap
I did the gauge swap everything works except my speedometer, neutral light, trip log, and temp readout. The speedo stays at 0 while i'm riding and the trip stays at 0.0? do i need to wire the pink wire and the green wire together and then ground them out? Odometer read 50k, fi indicator works, blinker ind. works, tach goes all the way around and comes back as it should, clock stays the same. Just no speed reading, no neutral light, no trip log, and temp readout stays at --?

So I'm one of the people now who has broken their temp sensor off flush.. Heres a couple tips before you try and do this. Number 1 seems obvious but apperantly it wasnt to me, the wire on the top of the sensor plucks right off, making it possible to use a deep socket, not a wrench. The wrench is what cause mine to brake off. Number 2 is do not do this at 4 am when you havent slept for a couple days cause it will lead to number 1 happening all over again. My question is, since the motor is not in my bike right now, if I brought it to a shop. Could they take the broken sensor out for me?

yes. its plug and play. you disconnect the wire to your speedo-sensor, and plug the healer in between. simple as that.
to calibrate, you then take it for a drive, Either matching your speed with a car or GPS at 60 ACTUAL MPH. (GPS will be more accurate, but do not do it yourself unless you have something mounted to keep your hands on the bars!!) when you hit a real time 60mph, you look down at your speedo and REMEMBER the displayed mph. you then need to figure out your % of inaccuracy. easiest way is to download the "speedo healer calculator" on your smart phone. click precise, then enter 60 for your travel speed, and also the mph that your speedo displayed. it will then calculate your +/- calibration percentage to program the healer to.
take it for another spin, follow the same comparison method and make sure 60 reads 60. then your done! SUPER simple.
**if this sounds like too much for you to handle, spicymeowmix says that putting a -1 drive sprocket will put your speedo dead on...but keep in mind, you WILL lose top end speed when doing this..
