The accord one will pump just like the stock F3 pump, not constant on like you mentioned. It is a solenoid type pump that gets a pulse signal from the ECU. I'm not sure how you would even be getting a constant flow from that even with a constant on style pump.

Well I was using a straight electric pump listed on the first page from autozone. It didn't work out very well because it always pumped non stop. If I started the bike it would idle ok for 1 min maybe then flood out. Start it the same way but just before it dies turn pump off and it would straighten itself out. Lol. Anyways I took that pump back and ordered the accord pump today and new float needles as well. Going to take carbs out and clean them and replace the needles to make sure it will shut the fuel off. Tired of the fuel issues with this bike. This is the last draw before I go crazy.

If your pump is running all the time its because your floats are stuck in the carbs you need to take them off and do a good cleaning. its not the pump it only works when it is givin power wich is controlled by the floats and a relay.

Ok. Thought I would just finish with I pulled the carbs out this weekend and cleaned them. The floats were not stuck. I replace the float needle to make sure it was stopping the fuel. Then cleaned all the jets. Pilot jets were pretty bad. Then installed the 84-85 Honda accord pump and it worked like a charm. What a difference it made from when I first got it running with the other pump. I even tryed gravity feed and that wouldn't work for me lol. For anyone that reads this and needs a pump. Get the accord pump. It works great. Now I need new plastics and the bike will be sweet. The guy that had it really didn't take care of it but I'm getting it worked back into shape thanks to all the information listed on this site. Thanks guys.

got it all wired up and installed, she started right up, started ticking loud at a fast paste but once it got warmed up it started ticking at a slower paste, took it for a spin around the neighbor hood and rode like a charm. throttle respond is a lot better, tomorrow Ill see if it goes over 85mph, but as of now all thumbs up

It still does. Its just the sound from the contacts. Personally I like it. If I dont hear the ticking then I can safely say I know where the problem is. I feel my bike performs better with this pump.
