Default removing complete front end? can it be done?

I'm getting ready to tear into a couple F2s that I'm rebuild and was wondering if I can remove the whole front end as a complete unit and not have to take the forks and everything else apart. Like leaving the fork legs in the triple clamps. Is it possible?

thanks in advance

I think if you remove the triples from the frame you can, but I'm not sure on this. personally, if I keep mine, I want to put an RR front end on it with the inverted forks.

yep...just take the top clamp off, under it you will see the two spanner nuts (which have a luck washer between them).

I can tell you F4i forks/triples go on with minimal effort.
