well legally you need to buy a projector housing as using a reflector housing with hids will blind oncoming traffic and the pattern focus will actually be worse and you wont be able to see much. usually less then using OEM. but if you going just for look a lot of places sell DOT legal retro fit kits (ballast and bulb). but remember, just cuz the kit is DOT legal using it is only legal with projectors housings.

long story short, the reason u don't see any is because HID installs on non-projector headlights is... dumb. because of what nykuryu said, you need projector lights for cut off. google HID cut off and read the documentation for that. i'm not trying to be a ***** or anything, just giving u a heads up.

i was going to retro fit a acura tsx projector len into the housing with some custom fabrication work.

I know about running non-projector headlights has a bad cut off and it tends to **** people off because the beam is not unified into a correct beam. I was looking for wiring info, whether or not if it was plug in play or if i had to do some chopping.

guess i'll have to keep poking around.
