I hope to get to all the mcra rounds this year but have to split my weekends with travel soccer that I coach. Should race the F2 and ninjette this season if funds show up.

Well I hope to see you there... I think "if funds show up" is a statement we will both be living by!!

All necessary items were safety wired a while back, and I also recently made some improvements to the areas where parts come off frequently, by employing some spring clips.

Rear axle nut and bolt head:

Rear caliper mount and banjo bolt:

Front caliper mounts, axle, and pinch bolts:

Oil filler plug/dipstick:

Muffler mount:

The oil drain plug is safety wired, and I'll add a spring clip when I change the oil next. The radiator cap is wired with a spring clip, but I didn't get a pic while the fairings were off.

I only put spring clips only on the things that I would be using while at the track that saves time to change the wheels wheels, and oil dipstick / fill.

Looks good, I need to do something similar with adding clips in areas that need frequent or quick service access.

Yeah, I really didn't need to use them on the radiator cap and caliper mounts, but it will be nice to not have to re-wire when I change the pads or flush/refill the coolant system... I had so many spare clips, I just thought "why not?"

By the way, one of the other V7 guys suggested I upgrade at some point to an F3 lower triple clamp - do you agree that this is a necessary upgrade, or at least a legitimate recommendation?

I agree with the caliper bolts and anything to get the wheels off. Making it as easy as you can while at the track will help. You never know when you will be rushed.

As for the triples, that would be fine. My F2 still had the F2 triples on it. I never had an issue until I crashed it. All of them will bend if hit in the right way. Now if you can get some billet Attack triples, they are awesome!

Nice! I didn't realize there ever were any options for aftermarket billet triples of any sort... I imagine they would be as hard to find as a full titanium exhaust for the F2... or harder! I'll have to keep my eye out!

Call Richard Stanboli at Attack. Maybe he will make you a set. If he does, let me know.

He'll be too busy working on his CRT machine for next year!! Especially since there's three MotoGP rounds in the states for 2013.

I probably will give him a call, just for kicks, but even if he did make some, which would be incredible, I'm pretty sure they'd be out of my price range!
