Some of you may be familiar with the Pit Bull trailer restraint system, but for those of you who are not, here's a couple of pics of a mock up of how it works - I'll get this installed on the trailer tomorrow.

I finally got the Pit Bull system installed on the trailer, and took it for a test run - I absolutely love this setup!!

Well, let's not go that far!! I mean, if I had the money for "epic", I'd be going with a full-on Custom RV with a hauler portion in the rear!! I'd probably only need a couple-a-hundred thousand dollars for that!

Honestly, "epic" for me right now would be a brand new Ford diesel 1-ton crew cab with an 8 X 12 dual axle with brake assist enclosed trailer...that's going to have to come quite a bit later!

Default Trailer Update

A small, boring update...
Today I finished the trailer - well, I say finished - actually it's mostly finished, since I probably will take the advice of a member, and coat the deck surface with some non-slip paint.
Last weekend I got the Pit Bull trailer restraint system installed, and this weekend, I replaced the wheels and tires with brand new ones - the tires are 6-ply instead of 3-ply, are a touch taller, and are high-speed rated - I'll just use the old ones for spares. I also installed a speed-jack on the trailer's tongue, as well as a spare tire rig, and picked up a couple of 5 gallon gas cans, to have enough fuel for the track.

My K&N filter cleaning kit, red striping tape for the F3 rear rim, and my Alpinestars back and chest protector vest should arrive Wednesday or Thursday.

By the way, Frank, I don't know if you got ripped off, or if I just lucked out, and caught a break, regarding the trailer wheel/tire set...

I went to Harbor Freight first, and learned that their website has a bogus listing: the 92470 wheel and tire, is allegedly a 5-lug, 12" wheel, with a 6-PLY tire rated for high speed, for $54.99 - not true - when you get to the store, the only 5-lug, 12" rim & tire they have, has a sticker that has the part # 92470, and the sticker says it's a 6-ply tire, but on the tire itself, it says it's a 3-ply, and another sticker on the back of the wheel gives the warning that the tire is not for use above 55mph...that's all Harbor Freight has, so I was done there, since I am not staying at 55 or below - no way, no how!!
So, I go to Tractor Supply, and sure enough, they have a high-speed rated 6-ply tire, which is the same width, but a smidge taller, mated to a 5-lug, 12" rim, that's marked at $64.99 - I pay for that and a few other items, and after looking at the receipt, it turns out I only paid $49.99 for the set!! I wasn't sure if these were marked wrong, or just on sale, but needless to say, I loaded that one in the trunk, and went right back in for another one!! Now I've got a brand new set of better stuff, and two spares...works for me!! I just wonder how you ended up paying $80 for yours, that sucks!

My Harbor freight trailer has 4 lug 12 inch wheels that says 55mph limit. I tow 3.5 hour to Summit Point WV average 70mph with no problems. Tow a little faster on the way home. Also when you gonna track that beautiful bike of yours? Gotta post some track pics but it dont have to be as BIG as the one I posted.lol- I dont know why my wheel tire combo cost so much but I am happy just to have a spare and it was only 5min out of my way home from work.

I'll be on track in early July, late August, and more dates that I have not yet finalized yet.

The red rim tape for the new F3 rim, air filter cleaning kit, and SMX-Bionic 2 chest/back protector vest arrived yesterday - I'll get the rim tape applied tomorrow or Saturday.
The vest fits perfectly, and also has some kidney protector panels connected to the back, which wrap around when you strap the vest on.

Purchased and on the way now, are a Two Bros race header, Fox Twin-Clicker shock with recently replaced oil and nitrogen, spare cush drive and sprocket carrier for extra rim, and race bodywork for the bike - many thanks to Twissta for the amazing hook-up on these items!!
