i think 178 is a few mph high. we ran my buddies 06 on gps today and it ran 176mph and that was at 12k rpm. the 05 doesnt run up to that rpm..

How fast is it going when it's bouncing off the revlimiter (just over 12K on my 04 w/Micron Serpent and PC) in 6th gear with a 41 tooth rear sprocket? It could definitely go faster with the 40 tooth sprocket but acceleration would suffer.
i couldnt tell your speed but i would guess with a 41 and being at 12k its around 174-176.. going to a 40 tooth may or may not not make it go faster. it all depends if you have the power to still pull the revlimiter with also the expense of it taking longer to get to that speed. the way we gear are bikes here is to hit the revlimiter just under 1 mile. anything after that you could just sit wide open and the bike could be laboring just before the rev limter and not going anywhere..
