Default Suspension Settings? ?

I`ve been reading all the posts on suspension settings, is there a set principle ya can apply? I mean the bike stock is set up for a 10 stone rider, i`m 14 stone and 6foot 2" so can i like apply a simple formula for the extra weight. Like a little extra preload and rebound or something?

The general recipe is a rider sag of 43mm up front and 30mm in the rear. The norm to achieve anything decent other than riding around town is swapping the right springs for your weight. I have not seen a spring rate calulator that is expressed in stones, LOL J/K Racetech's site can give you an idea. Another option that is an improvement is a Hyperpro kit, I did this and it is an improvement but not suspension virvana. The highly recommended fix is Ohlin's R&T forks with superbike valving, rear Ohlin's shock revalved for HRC link, and HRC link. It's nice to have dreams ain't it?
