Default 04-05 suspension settings

Hey there,
Any suggestions on suspension settings? I weigh 72kg and ride on some pretty average mountain roads. Some sections are good. Just want to be safe(and fast!). I have read you need to max out preload on the front to set the sag correctly. I set the preload to max and would like some feedback. Is this the right thing to do? Afterwoods i ended up with 40mm of rider sag(front topped out dimension minus rider loaded dimension)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as learning the hard way on a bike is pretty scary!

I posted something under the topic ā€œImproved suspension settingsā€ which is on page 2 of this forum which could be of some help. Although it is for a 06, I cannot see why you cannot use this for a 04 /05
