Default Suspension Settings

I have been trying to setup my suspension for my weight... but i think i still can't get it right.... i still dun understand the 3 terms for
1) Preload
2) Tension &
3) Compression

ANyone able to help and explain to me? WHich one shld i adjust if i feel that there's no damping effect?

Shld i adjust the 'compression' if i feel that my suspensions are not compressed when i go over a bump?

I get tank slaps when riding fast over a serious bumpy road.

Pls help. Appreciated

do yourself a favor and get a manual and set it for stock settings. then you can adjust each adjustment up to 1/2 turn ether way without making it so it will throw you off.

Lowering a bike usually involves installing a lowering link and often raising the forks in the tubes. You would most likely need the stock rear part.

Not really. The parts you need aren't that expensive. Find some girl or short riders and see if any of them still have the stock parts. They're useless to them so you should get them cheap.
