Default Salvage title bikes, worth the hassle? Also cluster discrepancies.

So Im probably going to end up selling my theft recovery 1000rr and picking up another bike. I was looking at this small independent shop, and saw they have 2 repsol clones. Both are 07 1000rrs and both are salvage title. The thing thats started to bother me is that both say bikes were dead (battery wise) when bought at auction and mileage couldnt be verified. First off, wouldnt you typically hook up a jump box to at least verify mileage?

And the big issue I saw: Both are 07s, yet I noticed one only redlined at about 11,500, and the other at 12,200 After looking for 5 minutes or so online, apparently redline was increased between the 04/05s and 06/07s

This means that were talking about possible odometer swapping that might be going on, right?

Should I steer clear and keep looking for a clean title bike?

Salvage or Reconstructed? In some states that's a massive, sometimes insurmountable, difference. I for example, one of the Carolinas I think issues Salvage titles to totalled vehicles. But the can't be registered ANYWHERE until the repairs are done... By a licensed mechanic from that state... And inspected in that state by a government inspection station. With receipts required for every part used in the repair
