Is a Power Commander worth the money???
I have a 2005 Repsol CBR.....I have done the flapper mod and stuck a 2 Bros CF Can on it. Will I see any gain with a PC III or is it worth the $300 bucks its gonna cost me to have it? I dont have any problem with idle quality now but it does seem to run a little rich now. I dont want to shell out the bucks to find out I didnt gain anything for it. Somebody educate me on what to expect from it.

The powercommander can improve throttle response, and maximize the bike potential. Will you notice the extra hp's............probably not. It is meant to tweak your bike and make it run as smooth as possible. I didn't want to buy the PCIII but now I'm glad I did. Depending on your budget, if you cannot afford it just add it to your wish list and buy it later. As for recommendations, I think it is a must.

All the mods you do like air filter and exhaust cans are all like cutting a steak with a butter knife sure it`ll do the job,
when you put the pc3 on you got yourself a Steak knife.

Much of the mods were done to make the bike breath better. The flapper mod to increase air into the bike. The BMC filter to free up the restriction of the factory filter and then the muffler so that the bike can push more air out. While you don't get significant gains with these mods you do discard excess weight. When I took off the factory pipe it was significantly heavier than the 2bros. No more flapper component as well as the exhaust servo. These mods are just suggestions. Do them if you want, spend the extra money on all the goodies but the 1000rr is still a great bike if left all alone.
