Default F4i to 1000RR

I just traded in my F4i that I have been riding for 3 years for a 1000RR. Still breaking in the tires, and running in the engine. Any tips or pointers? One thing I noticed is that the clutch is way heavier. I assumed that a hydraulic clutch would be much lighter, I was wrong.

Any good tips on how I should run in the tires, I am totally scare to take her over... cause I love her

Get a few hundred miles on them and get used to the bike. The 1000rr handles a little differently than your F4i did. It pushes a little more in the twisties. Just remember to respect it or it WILL bite you!!!!

Depending on how you ride, the tires should be scrubbed in after about 25-50 miles. It doesn't take very long to scrub in tires these days. I agree, the 1000rr will show you whos boss if you're not careful. I couldn't stand the stock brake lines on my 1000rr, too spongy. I replaced the stock lines with Speigler, hell of a difference. Ride Safe...

Wear the shiny film off the tires first before you take any heavy turns, and then let her go. She'll hold you. She's got Diablos. Those bastards are sticky.

Thanks for all the tips. I took her out last weekend to the twisties, and she was fine. I am not a fast rider at all, I got her cause I am a geek and I like all the new gadgets on her. But honestly, I could have gotten a Ninja 250 the way I ride.
