installed slip-on today
well a riding buddy and myselfinstalled my m4 slip-on pipe today. went in pretty easy. a few questions? the servo for the stock pipe, the one in the stock muffler. did anyone remove the servo by the battery or did they just disconnect the cables? i took the cables off at the servo? and the heat shields, which ones did you guys leave on remove? i removed all the ones under the seat. and the inner metal shield on the right side by the foot peg. but left the black plastic cover on, is this gonna get to hot and melt the cover? i plan on getting a fender kit soon so i put the stock one back on minus the black top piece and heat shields.
the pipe sounds sweet, nice and deep. kinda mellow at idle, but sounds real clean on revving it up. no crackles, or pops, just a real clean sound. only got to take it down the road a bit due to it was freaking cold out. but sounds nice under load. cant wait till it gets warmer and clean the roads up some.

RE: installed slip-on today
i took off the two cables from the servo, but left it plugged in. figure it is better to take the cables off the bike and not have them moving around under the seat by the battery and all. so has anyone else removed the metal heat shield from under the seat? and if they have has anyone had any problems with the plastic getting to hot?
