Hey so i have an engine tick coming from my bike and im pissed cuase i hope its not what it might be. i think i have it narrowed down to either the cam chain tensinor / assembly, the fuel pump, or the valves, as it is at 27 k and i dont know any history before 25k. When i have the clutch let out in neutral or in gear it makes a thump like tick. but when the clutch is in it sounds like a normal 1000rr. i need some help before i have to pay alot of money for work. thanks

 

at close to 30k miles take it to a shop and have your valves adjusted as its pretty much due for it anyway .. have them do a FULL service... itsgonna cost you ike 1000.00 cause they have to lift up the cams to check /adjust the values and seats...
