Default Tank protection?

Hey guys, I've got a black & silver '08 1000rr . . I'm looking for something to protect my tank from scratches & dings. . I ordered a Targa 1/2 tank bra, but I didn't like how it attached or fit. . I'm thinking about a tank pad, but I don't want it to catch on things & get ripped off by clothing & things & leaving sticky residue if it does.
I'd really appreciate any suggestions & experiences yall have had with the same problem.

I have a tank slapper for protection from my belt buckle/crotch, and black stomp grips on the sides.

I did have a complete tank slapper kit, but found I really needed the stomp grips to help hold myself in place.

I've used Tankslappers for years. They're static cling so there's no glue involved and they stick great and do a good job of protection.
