Take her for a spin! Wear your helmet (acts as a very good mask), and stay 2 meters away from everyone...super easy to do on the bike! You urgently need gas and some small groceries...right?
Finally got some time to put in LED head lamps into the CBR. My son got them for me for Christmas. He's a good boy It took some doing and a little bit of customizing, but they're in. I love them. Nice bright white light. LED lamp on left side as you view photo...Halogen on right
Haven't done it yet , but have ordered it .
A new slave cylinder assy that is supposed to improve the weight and smoothness of the clutch pull at the lever .
I've been struggling with this and am hoping this makes enough difference that I can return to riding the beast more often when the weather improves again .
It will take a while to get to Australia from the UK .
I will post up my impressions when fitted for those who may be interested .
Just put a Q3+ on the front, while I was at the stealership I saw a young bloke take off on a late model CBR that just had 2x new tyres on and was warned to take it easy due to wax and ****...lit her up like he stole it as he left and I thought good on ya, you are only young once...I am not a role model
Took mine out for the first time in a few months for a really long ride - and by long, I mean more than 40min. What a surprise to find that the bikes not charging - it stopped exactly 41minutes in with a dead battery.
Called the wife who brought out a spare battery, so I pulled the fuse for the headlights and rode home wondering how one conserves electricity on a 25yr old bike - avoid braking was my thinking...
I'm trying to think the last time I went out for more than 40min before being home and plugged back into the trickle charger. Could be... years :-(
So, new rectifier/regulator on order and the battery on a recondition cycle - I am hoping it solves the problem.

Have a good look at the wiring and connectors going into the reg/rec unit. I bought a replacement unit (my second) only to discover that wiring near the plastic connectors to the reg/rec was shorting out (burnt wires). Fixed the wiring and with new connectors I've now got a spare reg/rec unit!
I put it all back together and it seems to be charging fine! - I'll go looking for wiring problems, but I am tempted to think my 9 month old AGM battery is a dud. I checked continuity from the alternator plug to the rectifier and it seems good.
