What have you done to your CBR 1000f today?
Measuring the carb butterflies openings against each other and making them the same is a good starting off point, but that's not synchronizing them completely. The bike should be warmed up and running at idle to measure the vacuum in each intake track (using the test port on each carb) against each other for a proper sync. Valve clearances, compression in each cylinder and other factors like tiny vacuum leaks in the carb boots will change the vacuum each cylinder pulls, and the adjustment needed to match the vacuum in every other intake port. That's why it's important to use a vacuum gauge balancer as well.
Morning all
Replaced the rear cush-drive rubbers which had a fair amount of free play and slack, its made a quite a noticeable difference and I'm pleased I changed them. While I was there I cleaned the chain and had a good clean up around the swinging arm.
Next week I'm going to carry out the stick/coil modification I've read about on the forum, I've already ordered / received the parts I'm going to use, just need to get the new small loom made up.

Well after doing a nice second gear wheelie with my wife on the back the tach soared and the bike became very smooth. After coasting about 1/2 a mile I found no chain! After walking a mile (round trip) and having my son bring me a master link and some basic tools we were back on the road HOME! After closely examining the chain it appears the master failed. The RK gold X ring was not damaged so I bought myself a Delkevic stainless exhaust. No more power but it looks sweet.
Same thing happened to me on my old RZ500, was doing a great wheelie for the boys at work, then front dropped as revs went up. I had no trouble finding the chain as all I had to do was follow the oil trail, the chain smashed the crank case on the way out.....you were lucky!
You have a link to the gopro footage? Or is it not a pretty site?
Replaced my home built grommets with Doorman grommets on the stick coils.
While I was at it, checked the plugs. Well...I forgot that I tried hotter plugs to chase down a stumble I had. So, I replaced the plugs with the proper heat range plugs. I bet it will run cooler now. lol
