What have you done to your CBR 1000f today?
@ Indie- Good to see ya back in the action on here.
@Drewski- It's not uncommon for any meter to be off one to the other. I have the ones in our shop calibrated. If you have one of known accuracy to compare that will suffice.
Your slick install will give you what you need to know on the fly. Nice work.

I also wanted to note I varied slightly from Gern's install. Instead of splicing onto the green/white wire I just pulled a fuse in the fuse box and slid my light/test wire in. Power/voltage doesn't have to damage any factory wiring and ground comes off the frame just as Gern did.
Put about 4 oz of seafoam in a half of tank of gas, went for about a 40 mile ride with RPMs from idle to 10.5K. Seamed to take care of the off idle stumble I had, thanks to Sprock for the recommendation in another post. Now I can REALLY enjoy my ride to work tomorrow.
& hey OB if you pop the top cap off each carb ( watch for the spring ) and shim each
needle up with one extra washer ( takes about 20 mins the whole job btw ) you will
never have that hollow mid range again. Poor Boy mod for sure but the simplest
cheapest and best thing you can do for any Hurricane ..... trust me .
Basically take one shim off and take the local radio shack or ace hardware and match
up four more.
