What have you done to your CBR 1000f today?
Time someone came up with a metal alternative made from a nut driver or something.
Been burning up the internet today looking for a set of rubber for my 93 - have a set
of shinko's on it that came with rims I got from my old friend Malbo way back.
They're getting down there now and I'm beginning to hate 'em as they are limiting.
Think I'll go with the trusty old Michy PR2's if I can steal a set somewhere for the right
$$$
Found quite the deal on 'em here
wondering if a "c" version would rim up okay tho ! ? Opinions ?

Never heard of 'B' and 'C' versions before?? Seems a bit odd to me that they would make a 'sub-standard' version of a tyre, wouldn't have thought it'd be worth the added cost to the manufacturing process.
Enlighten me people.
I'd look at the weight and power specs for the Triumph 1050 Mark and see how close they are to the Cane

Hawk - since a 1050 is quite light and the rim profile a little flat - it looks like the C
tyre
is a lighter carcass with shallower sidewalls - anyhow - not worth the risk
although I could just return it if it's way off the mark !

Well I may have slipped across the border into Victoria to collect a couple of down at heart (and crashed CBR1000Fs). One - an '87 - in Bendigo - where I am at the moment and one - an '91 - in Melbourne tomorrow morning. Can never have too many spares - though I am discovering you can have too little shed space.

Home again after a 1600 km round trip to Bendigo and Melbourne.
1st bike - an '87 that had been dropped heavily

Not too bad at all......................until you look at the left hand side

Broken bar, fairings wiped off, but very little engine damage.
We stayed in a beautiful manor house (Bed and Breakfast) overnight in Castlemaine and you wouldn't credit it but we had breakfast in the huge dining room with one other couple who stayed there. And they were bikers and rode a 1990 CBR1000F.
2nd bike a '90 with twisted forks and a bent frame and 3 boxes of parts

Tying down the bikes securely for the 700 km drive home.

Nice Gearsack Rack!

Nice pick up Seb. I have my 92 model parts bike. They are worth their weight in gold. My mate has also benefited from it buying some bits and pieces from me. We should always be looking for bits for these old girls.
Looks like you've got the market pretty much cornered there Seb
Yeah, looks like a great looking rack, that I'm sure you'll put to good use.
That MK1 looks fixable though mate, are you sure you can resist the temptation?
